has anyone retrofitted Full LED headlamps yet?

just wondering if anyone has retrofitted the full headlamps yet. I've been searching for info on the web but no luck.

I'm sure there are many folks who are waiting for this all over the world. the LED headlamps were not available when I orderd my car. now almost all of a6 are coming with full led headlamps.

I have the list of parts I need from ETKA but I'm afraid it might throw some kind of warnings or errors. I saw someone wrote that I also should change wirings as well to avoid burning the lamps.

Please let us share if someone has succeeded.

I heard it is pretty expensive. wouldn't be cheaper to trade in for anew one with LED headlights?

Yeah, I have full LED's in mine, i noticed that the headlights seem to have some type of fan or cooling system, there is a distinct humming noise when the lamps are turned on, I have another car with HID's and there is not noise associated with them. I would say the swap would be pretty expensive, labor intensive, and cause possible issues. But they are awesome to say the least.

RTW_ca is the most knowledgeable LED headlight person that I know of on this forum. He is rebuilding a wreak and investigated the parts and pricing of the LED headlight conversion.

Thanks for the info.
$6200 for harness only is just insane. I thought about 8~9K would do the job including parts. I would rather give up if the harness for entire interior needs to be replaced. that's like reassembling the whole car. I just should have waited untill the LED haedlights were available when ordering my car in the beginning.

I previously owned a5 and led taillight conversion wasn't as hard as this. All I needed was parts, modified wiring harness and some codings. Of course, wiring harness wasn't genuine audi parts.

I hope someone comes up with a solution soon or I should just wait for chinese imitation parts to come out on market.

one of the problems with the headlights is the amount of heat they produce and the power they need and the cornering lights sensor so it would need a lot to be changed which wasn't needed in the case of the taillights. and we all know that these parts are darn expensive in audi

Serious? You want to try Chinese imitation for a mission critical function? Have you thought about resale value?
