how long to receive audi after build notice?
 

Hi, I received an email from Audi on 07/10 stating that my A6 had been built and was awaiting shipment:

"The production of your Audi A6 is complete. Your vehicle is now on its way to the port of Emden, where it will be scheduled to start its journey across the ocean to the United States. Soon, you’ll be behind the wheel of your custom-ordered and uniquely personal Audi A6. Once your vehicle arrives in the United States, I’ll contact you to schedule your delivery."

That was over 3 weeks ago. When should I expect to receive a delivery notice?

There are several threads that discuss how long things take and how to track your ro-ro ship to port.

In order to calc the total transit time you need to figure the actual ship date from Emden, port of U.S. entry and distance to dealer from the port.

It could take anywhere from 7-21 days to Emden and loaded on a ship, 12-30 days to U.S. port of entry onboard the ro-ro depending on location of POE which are Davisville, RI, Jacksonville, FL (new), Houston TX, San Diego, CA, 5-9 days at the port to get through customs and loaded on a truck or train, and 1-10 days to arrive at your dealer depending on how far they are from the port of entry.

Will Audi send me an email notification upon each of the milestones mentioned in the last post?

That task is typically handled by your salesperson.

I'm awaiting mine to finish the build process. What was your time between the "start build" notification and the "build complete" notification?
