I received my filter today. Genuine Audi made by Mann Filter. I'll take some shots when I attempt to install it. There may be duct tape in my future...

Also, it looks like the guy in the video used a different filter holder instead of the one that he took out. Do we need to buy that too?
You will need a filter holder for ease of installation. I don't have a holder so I used some electrical tape to seal the voids and hold the filter to the existing grill. Some call it redneck, I prefer resourceful. Here are some pictures.
Before
This part (dew point sensor?) has a tit that fits in a hole. It can be rotated and removed. Seemed easier than unplugging it.

I know the tape might fail and the filter will drop down. At that point, I'm back to square one - no filtering.
