Default iPod Issues
Hi, I have an iPod connected in my C7 and every time I turn off the car and come back later, the music starts with the first song of the first album. This is every time !!! Its really annoying and I was wondering if anyone else has had the same issue.

Its a 5th GEN iPod Nano (tried latest iPod Classic, didn't work )

Please help !! I have started hating the whole album

I have the same problem. I wish it would pick up playing where it left off the last time I played it....

yup, I have the same problem with my iPhone 3GS

I think this maybe an issue with all Apple iOS products. I don't know if Android users can comment on their experiences.

Hopefully Audi will address this with a future MMI update

Oog, this could be quite annoying. I'm coming from a 2008 Cadillac, and no matter what mode you're in the music always picks back up where it left off when you start the car. This is with a 5th Gen Nano - so it sounds like something weird with MMI rather than the iPod/iPhone.

Does it seem to restart the album -only- when you're in album mode, or does it also exhibit this behavior in random play?

I have iPhone 4s and problems with mine. It starts where I left off.

No problem with mine! I have tride severa i - phones, pads and pods (incl. nanos) and the music starts from where I left it off last time!

Even when I switch sources and come back to the i-xxxx

I think it would be interesting here for folks to post what version of MMI software is on their A6 and whether they have the problem or not... It could be some sort of bug that was fixed in a later software rev that got on later build 2012s.

I just checked this out in a new A6 with an iPhone 4S. Whether plugged directly into the AMI or streaming via bluetooth it started where it left off. As a few other posters have mentioned it may be a software issue with earlier cars. A software update might fix the problem.

I took delivery of mine on July 30 and my iPod starts where it left off. However I've given it up as the SD cards work much better and are easier to work with.
