Probably the battery. Did you read the owners manual? Push the shiny button on the key fob and pull out the mechanical key. Once the mechanical key has been removed, on the opposite side you'll find another button. Push this button and pull apart the key. The battery will come right out with a firm tug. It's a standard CR2032.
