Default Lowering the A6: Seeking Reccomendations

I just put 19" wheels on my A6 with 455/40/19 tires and looking to lower the car by about 2 inches to close the gap between tires and fenders?

Is this a safe height for the car? What would you suggest?

And which kit should I be looking into for the car?

Any idea how much the cost would be do this? Labor cost, what the installer would charge.

Thanks

Anyone lowered the suspension on their A6?

Should I be looking at a Coilover system, like this one?

H&R® - Audi A6 2016 Street Performance Coilover Lowering Kit

Or a coil spring lowering kit? Like this:

H&R® 28917-4 - Audi A6 Quattro 2016 Sport Coil Spring Lowering Kit

I will only speak for myself here, but you asked for what would we suggest? Don't do it. It will compromise the ride quality and, IMHO, make an outstanding German luxury sedan look like a common lowrider....broken.

just to be clear. my car does not have the sport suspension package, and that's probably the look that i am after. lower the car a bit so i don't have a huge gap between wheels and fenders. not to go super low where the wheels touches the fenders, or hide beneath the them.

Eibach springs seem to have great reviews. Is this all I would need to lower the ride a bit?

Do I also need to replace shocks and struts?

I installed H&R springs on my 2011 A6 sline on stock wheels. No issues, ride quality does get a little firmer

Thanks.

Do you remember which H&R springs? Did you get the full kit (with shocks/struts), or just the springs?

It was just the H&R Sport springs, similar to what you had posted but I believe mine were blue and I've been on the stock shocks without any issues for about 12k miles now. I am planning on switching out the shocks to aftermarket eventually but usually that can be put off for a while unless you're slammed.

Do you feel there are any compromises with after market springs and stock struts? Does it negatively impact ride comfort and handling?

I want a bit of a drop on the car for that sport look and a bit wider stand without sacrificing much on ride comfort and handling.

What are my best options? Springs on stock struts, new springs and struts? Coilover?
