I'm pretty sure a FAT32 volume can be quite large ...

It doesn't ... there is a limit for SD cards (which others have reported is incorrect ... 64GB not 32 GB) ... but no storage limit on USB. There are format requirements (FAT or FAT32) and files per directory limits (5K), but not storage amount for USB sticks attached to AMI.

MMI for iPod 3rd Gen Classic with Firewire connection?
Hi, anyone know which iPod cable is needed for an old iPod classic 3rd gen please? It has the 30 pin connector but charges over FireWire? Would like to use in my A6? Photo of the iPod below;

I'm pretty sure the old "click wheel" iPods are not supported with the Audi MMI. Also, there is no firewire charging support, just USB with eligible Apple models.

I've been advised to change to the earlier 4F0051510AC (white) cable which is compatible.
I’m using an iPhone 12 Pro Max on iOS 14.7.1
I have been experiencing frequent disconnection whilst playing music, or when the phone sleeps, wakes up, receives any notification. Even if I look at it, it stops playing, disconnects then reconnects and starts playing the first playlist.
I’m not convinced the old 4F0051510AC will even work with my iPhone 12 but it’s worth a try.
