Default MY 2014 vs MY 2015

Hello all, new to the forum. I have been shopping around for awhile for a mid sized sedan and been comparing between the usual suspects of E class, 5 Series, etc but after doing my due diligence have settled on the A6 3.0 as perfect for me. This will be my first Audi (or any car of this class) and I couldn't be more excited. I am deciding between getting a 2014 or building a 2015. I am not in a huge rush and like the idea of getting the latest and greatest with exactly what I want (and nothing that I don't want). My question is, is there anything that is going to be no longer available in MY2015 (performance wise) which would make it a better decision to get the 2014? I have read in some other posts that the Sport option for suspension calibration and 19" wheels would no longer be offered in MY2015. I have read the PIB for 2015 and it still looks like an option to me but I wanted to defer to those who have more experience reading those to let me know. Thanks in advance.

Off the top of my head I can't think of much different in terms of options between the two model years. The only omission that comes to mind is they have deleted the layered wood trim option on the 2015 version.

The other difference, depending on which trim level you order, is that a lot of optional items on the Prestige are now standard. They are including as standard, the LED headlights, a warm weather package (which includes 4 zone climate control and power read sunshades with manual side shades), and the HUD. That was an option bundled in the innovation package with the night assist.

On the Premium Plus, you are now getting as standard the S-line exterior, and three spoke steering wheel with shift paddles. Apart from that I don't recall much in the way of changes.

And, of course, you can expect a little bit of a bump in price between the MY14 and MY15.

But if you'd like, here are the two Order Guides, you can look at them and see if you see any other changes.

The 2015 Prestige might be more than just a "bump" in price due to the inclusion of LED headlights, HUD, etc. Should know soon.

Default side assist will be standard in Premium plus

the price of which $600 will make up for the 1% expected increase in 2015 price. 2014 are in short supply . Why buy left over 2014 when you can buy 2015 for same price and get some better features like paddle shift and nicer looking steering wheel?

I hadn't seen the 2015 order guide yet, and the sport package is definitely still an option which was what I was most concerned about based on some other posts. I was planning on getting the Prestige with the popular options like LED headlights, Warm Weather, etc anyway so I am ok with them being standard in MY2015 and the additional bump that will come with that. I will be going with 2015, so now I just have to wait for pricing to be posted. Hopefully it will be soon!

Default 2015

I thought there was going to be a face lift for 2015. Is that not until 2016?

This site mentions different tail pipes. Then again, it also mentions the Matrix LED lights, which I think (but I'm not sure) are only going to be offered in Europe.

I really dislike when a site offers a supposed scoop and muddies the waters by including the wrong pictures (e.g. they show the current model A6 and the interior from an A8 - sheesh!).

The facelift is for MY2016, which can be ordered next year around this time.
Remember, Europe usually gets the newer versions half a year earlier than the US.
