Default Mystery driver info display

I stopped at a rest stop while on a trip yesterday and when I restarted my car, the dash info displayed this screen. It went away when I rolled the thumbwheel. I've never seen it before or since. Didn't see anything in the owner's manual about it. Anybody know what it means or why it popped up?

Hmm, can't seem to attach a picture here for some reason. Here's what the screen says.

Kombiinstrument Audi-C7-Mid
Codierung: OBE609040341D7050200000
Teilnummer: 4G8 920 950 P
HW-Version: H34
SW-Version: 0306

Figured out the pic upload problem. Here's the screen.

I can't tell you why it is popping up but it appears to be a summary of technical information regarding the multi-functional display. ( coding, part number, hardware version, software version, etc.). Did you have the car serviced lately? The tech may have forgotten to escape from a special menu.

Thanks Fahrer. No I haven't had it serviced recently, but it's due for the 45K service so I'll show the screen to them and see what they say. I figured it was just an info screen, but don't know why it displayed that screen. Maybe I inadvertently hit some combo of buttons or something that invoked it when I started the car.

It’s just an engineering screen in the cluster. I can’t remember which button but you hold something down while turning on the car and it pops up.

Thanks Wuplur. Maybe it's a button on the steering wheel and I inadvertently pressed it with my left hand as I started the car or something. I'll ask the service advisor when I take it in for the 45K service next week.

Doubt they'll know how to get to it since we don't use this in the service dept. I was asked to do this once over the phone by an Audi corporate employee because he was comparing something.

This info sreen is invoked by holding down the trip odo reset button while starting the car. Not something anybody probably needs to see but thought I'd post the info since I figured it out.

That sounds fairly difficult to do by accident, like playing Twister in the car!

I had a vent clip phone holder mounted there and it pressed the button.
