Need your advice - look at my pinstripe!

I am a new 2012 A6 owner and the previous owner apparently had side added. I thought it was vinyl at first, but found out it is painted. My exterior color is moonlight blue and the pinstripe is a silvery color. As you can see, the pinstripe goes down the side of the car and follows the contours that are already there, providing an accent. My problem is that the pinstripe is fading in a few places on the passenger side and it is pretty noticeable, so I have to decide to either remove the pinstripes completely or get them repainted. HELP!! I need some other opinions! I usually don't like pinstripes, but these don't bother me as much, but maybe I am biased. Take a look and tell me your honest opinion. I appreciate it!!

I don't think it enhances the car's appearance any.
I'd remove them

I hope the price you paid for the car was super low. These stripes have no place on a car like the A6 - get rid of them. What disturbing photos!

If you want to remove them, try wet sanding or rubbing compound or use lacquer thinner.

It's a simple job and a body shop can remove them in minutes. A detail and paint correction shop should be able to handle it too. Have the exterior detailed at the same time.

Pinstripes need to go for sure. It's funny that you posted this because I saw an Audi A4 the other day with a pinstripe on it. Wasn't liking it.

First, you have a beautiful car!

I would just remove the pin stripes. If you do decide you want them in the future you can just get them done then.

As a kid growing up we had a Chrysler Cordova and a Honda Accord w/ pinstripes. In the past is where I would leave them.
