You need to call CACA right away. Crime against Car/Automotive is fully trained to apprehend and punish the perpetrator with this heinous crime!

After re-reading a number of the posts here (mine included) I feel sorry for brad. Let's cut him some slack on this. In person the sheer dominance of a pristine A6 in a nice shiny, dark color, probably blinded him to the pinstripe. Alternatively, maybe too much "cyber" clouds ones perception of the "real world" (scuzzy as it it).
I hope tenspeed is correct (usually is) that it should be fairly easy for a good shop to restore the Teutonic simplicity an A6 deserves.

Same color, same pinstripe. Having a detailer remove today in fact. Was this a standard thing on the Prestige trim or what? Really fugly on such a great looking car.

Thanks for the advice/opinions everyone! I think I am going to have my local Audi body shop take them off. I'll post the after pics once I get around to it later this month.

Since they don't bother you, have them remove the damaged side and keep the drivers side stripe. The passenger side stripe would have been removed before repainting if you kept them.

Years ago, factory painted pin stripes were an option. I had them on my '85 Olds.
