So, before I upgraded to the new Androind OS, I use to be able to operate Spotify with my steering wheel audio buttons to advance to next song. And the songs would display on my MMI screen. Now after the update, the only way to advance songs is to have Spotify open on my phone and even that is sporatic. And I don't see the tracks at all. Does anyone else have this issue? And if you did have it and fix it, how did you resolve the issue? I'm not sure if it's the new Android OS or Spotify or both. Help. Thanks in advance.

What year is the car, and what phone and version of Android do you have? I have the 2018 and a Samsung S9 and recently updated to 9.0. I don't have any problem pressing the steering wheel button over bluetooth, but the steering wheel button does not work (and never worked for me) for next track within Android auto.

Is your problem while using Android Auto or bluetooth?

Pretty sure he is not using Android Auto, his sig is "2012 Audi A6 3.0T Prestige", but I think face lift cars support Android Auto?
