New guy looking for pricing advice!
Hi All!
Happy to be here amongst you fine people. I’m a frequent visitor on MBWorld and Bimmerpost, and now here! Super excited.
I inherited a cool AUDI A6, and I was hoping you guys can guide me as to what the realistic value is of this car. I feel like KBB and others are almost useless.
The specs:
2012 AUDI A6 3.0T
75K miles
Quartz Gray on Black
Optional Equipment:
Brushed Aluminum Inlays
Bang and Olufsen Advanced Sound
Audi Side assist
19” Sport Package
LED Headlights
Prestige (at $6800!!)
I’d love to know what realistic resale value is and what the hell the almost $7K prestige package is!
Thanks for the discussion!

Hi Kevin!
Thanks for responding. I have tried KBB but the numbers on KBB vs the solds on eBay are a world apart. I assume its because these are specialty cars. I'm hoping you guys know best in what ballpark I can expect this to trade at.
Thanks!

Galves has what the autos are going for at auction. I’ve always used that as a benchmark when the dealer tries to lowball me.

Well, I’m not an expert by any means, but every time I sell a car I start out thinking the same way you are, but in the end reality does set in. I honestly doubt that a 2012 Audi A6, with 75k on the clock, is a specialty car. There are a lot of them for sale in my area. They are not priced particularly high at all. That brings up the second part of the issue that you need to understand. It really isn’t that important what they are listed at and that is what you are seeing. Try to find out what they actually sell for.
