Hi everyone! I'm on my 2nd A6 after selling my 01 S4 several years ago (sheds a tear) and have just recently come back to the forums. I'm loving my 2012 A6 Prestige but despite what the dealer in CA told me it came with summer tires (Pirelli P Zeros), which were horrendous in the Ohio snow last week. I just installed 18" Sport Edition SE-14 wheels and Michelin X Ice Xi3 tires yesterday so I am ready for whatever winter brings. Here is a ccpp in case anyone else is interested in how the wheels look on the car.

On a related note the Pirellis are horrendously loud. Nearly everyone that has ridden in the car has noticed them. They aren't cupped or worn in any particular pattern, they are just loud. I'm not looking forward to living with them again in the spring. The new Michelins are super quiet thus far.

Its good to be back on AW! I have learned a lot from this forum in a short amount of time and I thank everyone for their contributions.

I like those rims! I also have the Michelin X Ice Xi3 tires on 18" rims for the winter. I'm in PA and we had a brutal winter last year. The tires performed amazingly through everything. Enjoy!

I'm glad to hear you are happy with the tires. I'm looking forward to snow so I can play a little without worrying about sliding into things.

Thanks for the compliment on the wheels. I couldn't find a picture of a C7 A6 with these wheels before buying so I took a little bit of a chance, but I am happy with the look.

I have the same setup (18" and Michelins) on my A7 with Enkei Raijin wheels from Tire Rack. Love the ride and performance of the Tires (my 3rd set on various cars) and the wheels (a LOT lighter than the 19" Audi Sport rims)...

I used the same tires too. It's quiet and pretty good in the snow.
