New owner question

I will be switching from a '11 BMW 535 to an 2016 A6 3.0 later today and wanted to get some advise. I purchased the paid maintenance up to 100k miles on my 5 series and it worked out well. I know Audi's Audi care is different but would you recommend getting it if I plan on keeping the car to 100k miles? I appreciate any advise!

The A6 I am getting only has 16k miles and is certified.

Congratulations. So this is a CPO car? What kind of warranty mileage-wise do you get? Just the standard 50K? Buying or leasing?
Audi Care covering scheduled maintenance till 45K miles is a good deal, they used to charge about $800 for it.
If you still want to keep the car after 40k, there are extended warranties available from Fidelity and others that would take you to a bit over 100k.

Buy since they've already done the 15k service (or should have) you shouldn't pay the full $800...

Thanks for the quick reply today. Yes, t's certified up to 100k. Factory warranty up to 50k and then the extended up to 100k with $85 deductible. They just did the 15k mile service so that was a great point. Thanks!

Oh, then you are fine. The aftermarket warranties carry much stiffer deductibles, but either way you are covered for major system failures, that are not "wear-related". It's like an insurance policy you hope you don't have to use, but provides piece of mind. I use my car for business, so I bought one from F and I'm covered for another 10k. Have used it a couple times actually, and has saved me money.
I do as much of my own PM now as I can, to keep costs down. Investing in a VCDS cable has also been helpful, so I know what's going on with the car all the time. I am going for 200k...we'll see :)

If you plan on having Audi's service department maintain the car, Audi Care and Audi Care select can save you some money. It's a prepaid service agreement.

"Audi Care and Audi Care Select prepaid packages offer savings versus purchasing scheduled maintenance services separately.1 Plus, factory-trained technicians attend to your Audi using specialized tools and Audi Genuine Parts to deliver expert service."

The car already had Audi care on it so I got lucky. The Audi Connect and Sirrius had never been used so i got both free trials.

Nice-- enjoy the car and welcome to the forum.
If you decide you like the Audi connect, you can add it to an AT&T plan for around $10/month when the trial is over.

When you get to 55K miles, the Audi Care Select, 55K/65K, which runs about $770, is a good value since the 55K service by itself costs more than that at the dealer.

I noticed my map updated to a newer version this week but I am not sure if the software version I have is the newest. I gather the dealer would need to update it but thought I would double check. I attached two screenshots of what I currently have. I appreciate any help.
