You're right; I missed that all 4.2 engines are at that interval.

Knowing what I now know from this thread, I think this is a major reason for new 2.0 owners to get Audi Care. Does anyone know what it costs to have an Audi dealer replace the 4 plugs if you don't have Audi Care?
1) I doubt it as the 3.2 TFSI engines have the longer spark plug interval. Also, he carbon build up is at the SAI ports.
2) Audi Care will cover anything listed in the scheduled maintenance as found in the warranty and maintenance booklet. IIRC, the cost for a service that includes a tune/spark plug replacement etc.would run around $400-$500 or so at the dealer. That would include oil change and the other 35K or 55K maintenance items (mileage depending on model).

Default 2014 Audi Q5 TDI Spark Plug Replacement Interval?

Hi,

Do you guys know what the spark plug replacement interval is for a 2014 Audi Q5 TDI? On the audi maintenance schedule pdf the section for spark plugs appears to be incorrect. It does show replace at 35K, but according to the dealer they don't replace at 35K. Any idea when it's truly suggested to replace spark plugs? Thanks much.

Serious question? The answer is that the plugs never need replacement.....

because your car doesn’t have spark plugs.

Whatever you do, do not buy spark plugs at Advance Auto, Auto Zone etc.

I only found the official dealership NGK's to work properly.
