Yes and no. There is a 6mm hex on my 3.0, but it's obviously not meant for oil changes. The hole is flared inward and if one were to remove the screw oil would spray erratically

Wow, seems like lots of confusion about this. Why would ECS Tuning sell an oil change kit for my /15 3.0T A6 that includes a new drain plug and washer if there were no drain plug present? So far I've had the first oil change @ 4K miles, and an intermediate one that I paid for at 9K miles done by dealer and next up is the 15K oil change covered by Audicare. My intention is to then change oil at 20K using my independent tech. I guess we'll see then if there is a drain plug unless he wants to use the "suck up" technique. I suspect that the suck up is used in part because removal of the belly pan entails time and from what I understand there are quite a few fasteners to loosen/remove. Love my A6 but things were simpler with my /77 Chevy Caprice Classic (as well as the /06 Acura TL). The price of luxury German motoring I guess.

Best,
Jeff

This is supercharged engine, not turbocharged. This is from chinese manual, you sure they got it right?

Honestly guys, I do not know. I know there is a plug on 3.0 diesel engine and on the 2.0 gas, but I've been reading there is no one on 3.0 supercharged, I have not checked myself if there is one or not. I purchased the vacuum as it seems like easier way of doing the oil change anyways.
