I also don't see the temperature sensor in any of your pictures. Even if it has fallen it seems like it should be visible.
The lower front grill is where it should be as far as I know on the U.S. models.
I removed the upper front-end cover to see what mine looks like. I can't see the temp sensor because it is hidden below the bumper.
My wiring harness splits and one set of wires goes to the garage door opener control module, and the other set of wires goes to the temperature sensor.

I followed the wire harness and found it! Thank you, it seemed to be that the previous owner zip tied it into the space behind the license plate. Convenient location when the bracket isn't there, I guess I know he must have lost the bracket somehow. Thank you for your help.
