Paint Treatment
Bought a 2013 last week and the Finance Guy at the dealership tried to make me buy a paint treatment called "Simoniz Glass Coat" for about $800...doesn't Audi clear coat the cars at the factory?
What do you guys know about this stuff?
Thanks!!

Don't wast your money, spend it on a clear bra ( Venture Shield) do the complete hood and bumper. You won't see it nor will you get chips. Best money spent. Snake oil.

I would highly recommend two light coats of Wolfgang's Deep Gloss Paint Sealant. My car will be a year old next month and the water still beads up nicely and the finish is excellent. I always used Griot's (and still like them)but this stuff is terrific. I hand wash only and dry with soft microfiber towels after a squeegee and Giot's spray wax. Your new car' finish is probably most dependent on what you do after delivery and if you read some of the forums here you'll see some of these guys are experts. Enjoy your new Audi--they rock.

That's what's working for me now. I live in Colorado and we haven't had much weather this year. The Griot's spray on during the dry off really keeps the shine going. I do have to wash the microfiber towels (by themselves and air dry) after every other wash or they loose their absorbency. Also, try the Griot's heavy duty wheel cleaner to get the brake dust off--good stuff. Cheers.
