part numbers.

hi. Can anyone explain the difference between part numbers please. I have an RS6 2015 reg, the head light part number is 4G0.941.036.C. I am trying to find a replacement light .but almost all the lights I find are 4G0.941.036. They don't have the C on the end. Can anyone tell me what the C represents on the part number. Or can you still use a headlight with out the C on the par number. Thanks

4G0.941.036 is the master part number. typically a letter at the end is a revision letter. So for instance if they make a change to the part and release a new improved one for your car that would be 4G0.941.036.D and the next iteration would be E, etc.

Hi.Thanks for that. so really I have to find the identical number to what I have. its a pain really got lots of 036 out there but no 036c ones.

all 036 will be the same part. but wherever you're searching online my not care about specifically including the revision code. usually whatever you buy is the newest level part. You can call to ask or verify with an Audi dealership.

Because you have an RS6 then you are not in the USA so lighting maybe different for your location. If your dealer doesn’t know then tell them to find out.
As you know, posting location is important because there are luminance differences, LHD and RHD versions.
