Bought it
OK Folks. This was probably answered before, but I was not able to find it. I purchased my 2016 a6 prestige 3.0 after leasing it for 3 years. For peace of mind, I also bought the CPO coverage which gives me warranty coverage until 5 years after the in service date and unlimited on the miles. Now here is the question. I have always had the car serviced at the dealership as I had the Audi Care when I leased it. Is it worth getting the additional Audi Care for 55k/65k and 75k? I personally think it is a little much, but don't want issues if I need warranty coverage for something. I have always changed the oil, plugs, etc.on my other vehicles myself at times and I do have a good relationship with the Goodyear Service Center near my home and they treat me pretty fairly. Has anyone had any issues with warranty coverage when using a shop other than the dealer for maintenance?

I mean, there aren't huge things that need to be replaced by the time your coverage expires if I remember correctly. However, if you spark plugs fail at 100K and they're the original, maybe they'd give you some crap. But in my experience to deny a warranty claim, they have to prove something. No record of something being changed doesn't prove it wasn't. If you want specific answers, based off where you live, just call your dealership, or swing in one day.
I believe 45k is basically checking fluids and replacing wind shield wipers haha, 55K I think is spark plugs but not coils

Check maintenance requirements in manual -- I have a /15 3.0T Premium Plus and if I recall correctly the 55K service is somewhat more extensive than the 45K -- something to do with s/c belt and spark plugs if I'm recalling correctly -- sounded to me like made sense to purchase Audi care for the 55K and 65K services. I looked into this some time ago and my memory is not all the clear. Easy enough to ask dealer cost of the services a la carte vs. cost of Audi care packages I guess.
Best,

You're probably right. I checked with the dealer and the cost for the 55k/65k services under audi care is $769. Plugs, air and pollen filters, 2 oil changes, center drain cleaning, etc.. I'm going to get it for those intervals so I don't have to deal with it.
