does anybody know how to remove the license plate mount? I was trying to put on a new license plate bracket and some how pushed the speed clips out. This is because I was trying so hard to get those bolts (that were too short) to fit. I have only only one bolt holding my license plate on, I can't ride around like that.

I removed mine to install European size plates. It is held on by to 2 screws and double sided tape.

Once you pull out the 2 screws the plate mount will still be held on very securely with double sided tape. You will have to pull pretty hard to get it off.

I started using dental floss to try and remove the tape (which was taking forever and wasn't working very well). Then along came my husband and he just pulled really hard and it popped off. If you decide to try and pull it off, be careful not to gouge the paint with the holder. Make sure to pull evenly on the sides if you can.

You can try heat (sun or hairdryer) to soften things up.
