034Motorsport or Eurocode trans mounts and differential mounts will go a long way to improving this issue. They won't solve it, but they will make it better.

I would really like to get these installed. The only thing stopping me is the fear of being denied a warranty repair down the line. Being a CPO vehicle the warranty is good until the end of Nov 2020.

I have previously built custom transmissions with improved clutch packs and better servo's for high performance applications in non-audi cars. I've also custom programmed specific shift points based on throttle position, speed, Air Fuel Ratio, and RPM.

I would just like to clarify that if you want high performance you will need to accept harsh shift points.

After 15 years of tunning experience, let me say that if you want the best of both worlds you need to have a program that can custom tune your car and you must know how to custom tune your car yourself. If you let others tune your car you will rarely see eye-to-eye and rarely find that sweet spot. The driver needs to be the tuner.

Otherwise you are stuck with whatever other people tune into your vehicle. Beggars can't be choosers after all right?

I've known people who have upgraded their transmission software for softer shifts and they are now very-very unhappy with lack of performance from their car. The softer shift-points were non-reverseable so for performance oriented people... this was a horrible move.

To each... their own. Please understand that if you are not skilled in modifying cars... you are dependent on the person that is modifying your car for you.

Make sure you know what you want before it's changed for you.... at point of no-return.
Nobody panic! Just my opinion. Happy motoring!

I just received my 2017 A6 2.0 yesterday and I've noticed the rough downshift in Dynamic mode and it happens most of the time when I get to complete stop (I think from 2 to 1 gear).

In Comfort mode the problem doesn't exist and rarely happens, maybe once or twice and its much lighter. Any idea if I need to contact the dealer and ask for a software update? This is a 2016 car.

Thanks for your advise

Was it new or used? Sometimes they'll reprogram and works better. Rough downshift in downhill is a known problem, though.

Brand new, now drives much better but still feel the rough down shift from time to time on dynamic mode
