I had my passenger side mirror glass replaced last week due to failed heating element. It now heats fine, but the mirror cannot be adjusted as far to the right as it could before the repair. Can I adjust it by pushing gently on the right edge of the mirror to shift it farther to the right, or will that damage the adjustment motor/mechanism? I'm not talking about the mirror housing, just the glass.

You can push it gently with no issues. Might feel some clicks, but no problem.
