WARNING for Boost Tap!!
If anybody has one installed, CHECK your lines and caps! Did the demod on my car today, since I have to take it out to the dealer for appraisal on a 750Li, noticed that the rear engine cover was partly off. After an examination, I saw that one of the vacuum caps on the tap was missing. These caps were super tight on the nipples, so there must have been a ****load of pressure to shoot it off. If it did that to the cap, it could do the exact same thing to a boost gauge hook up. Ended up finding the cap wedged under the bracket next to the bypass throttle. Must've hit the cover and bounced back.
I have to recommend if you have a tap (does anybody else have one?), either clamp the lines or use threaded ones to make sure they don't disconnect. I was driving around with a vacuum leak, blowing off boost and didn't even know it.

I have used Swagelok fittings when I was pressure testing vessels after welding repairs. They are the best in the industry. They easily held up to a 3,000 psi vessel test.

Yep. Trying to drop my payments so I can get together a bigger down payment on a house. I'm tired of NY. Hoping to get down to Florida in March or April. With both Audi and BMW offering awesome financing on CPOs, I figure I'll pick up an 11 750Li or A8L to knock a couple hundred dollars off my payment, and then when I move down south replace it with something newer.
EDIT: Put a deposit on an 11 550XI Gran Turismo. The 4.2L A8L just didn't feel right to me. Couldn't get comfortable driving it. The 750Li still had the crummy 6 speed tranny in 2011, and the mileage and smoothness suffers for it. So I decided to try out a 535xi GT. It felt just right, as I told the salesguy, "It feels like I've come home". Wasn't about to buy a 4800lb car with just 300hp though, so I chose the 5000lb one with 400.
