And we don't have yearly emissions inspections so not a worry for gearheads in these parts.

States have been known to change their requirements...also you might move one day or sell the car to someone who lives in a state that has emissions inspections.

For ultimate performance you need to set the driver-selective mode to "Dynamic" for engine/transmission in the separate menu in the MMI (or just use dynamic setting in the overall menu). This will default the transmission to its sport mode and I believe it also tweaks the pedal settings to be maximally responsive. I just tested it in my '16 and I can tell you that if your car is the same as mine and you need more power and better response than it offers in dynamic mode then maybe you need a different kinda car. This thing is a rocket in dynamic mode.

Awesome. I will do this. Coming from the RS6 I just sold will be tough. It was tuned at 525/600 and the mechanic I just sold it to has already made it a bit faster. It drove like it was on rails and wasn't great for work. My goal now is better fuel economy AND performance 😉

It's hard to compare a gas engine to a diesel. Remember that even though they are both measured in HP and FT-LBS the fact that the diesel develops its peak torque at a much lower RPM than a gas burner. Having said that the TDI probably won't be as quick as your RS6 but it will plant you firmly in your seat off the line and is a very pleasant mix of performance and fuel economy that no gas car can touch.

Indeed. I am excited for this new adventure. About to pick up the car and take it to my mechanic for a thorough investigation. If it checks out I'll take it back to the dealer, purchase, and be about my way!

Just dropped mine (Q7) off yesterday for the DEF system malfunctioning. NOX #2 being replaced along with the Add Blue dosing module. Apparently an 'Audi Parts Specialist', has to see how long the wait will be, as they're on a 'referral block' and have to await approval before being released. All being covered by the extended Diesel warranty.

Can you let me know long you had to wait for approval ? I'm in the same boat with CEL and NOX codes and getting close to the expiration of my $45k extended warranty post-fix on a Q7. Thanks.

My dealer took care of my NOX errors really quickly, brought it in with the check engine light and he took care of it. Worse case you could call AOA (1-800-822-2834), if the dealer was to deny you, and talk with them. The agent has the ability to look up parts and verify its covered within minutes. The dealer reps, apparently are very picky what 'they' deem covered.

The only issue I had was a coolant valve failure, that my dealer declined and I called AOA for backup. I posted everything I did in this thread, starting at post #25

My '15 Q5 after the modification had 2 O2 sensor fixed then a O2 sensor recall, and couple weeks ago I had an adblue warning light came on at 600 mi. No 1500 mi warning. I refill the adblue myself but the warning light stays on. I had to take the car to my dealership. The result is the NOx sensor replacement. Luckly, they are all in warranty but no part so I have to wait about 3 days.
The weird thing is they told me once the adblue light is on, you have to bring the car to them to get reset. Is that true? My manual said you refill it and drive the car for couple minutes and the light reset.
As I remember when the care at its first adblue refill. I refill it and the warning light cleared. Could this be a new update that I don't know?

My 2014 light goes out when I refill it myself, never needed to go to the dealer

I love Audi vehicles, but the parent company we have to deal with on obvious cases, is so unfortunate.. the dealers want to get paid by both owners and AOA, plus they have used some questionably bad parts on the simplest parts that can cause bigger issues. Sigh, you just can't have the cake and eat it too..
