Previous to upgrading from the iPhone 6 to the iPhone X, I was able to read text messages coming in from my phone on the MMI. Since switching to the iPhone X, the "Messages" option in the Telephone menu on the MMI is always greyed out. I looked on my phone's settings, and tried resetting Messaging a few times and that made no difference. The dealer's service people say they paired their phone (probably not an iPhone) and they could read texts on the MMI without issue. Any ideas what it could be? Are others with an iPhone X having the same issue, or no?

Go into the Bluetooth section of Settings on the iPhone, tap on the car, and select "Show Notifications". Then get the phone to reconnect by toggling Bluetooth or turning the car off and back on.

Thank you! I adjusted the setting and sent myself a text, and now see it in there when I went to Messages on the MMI. Not sure the notification icon is popping up with a number indicating the number of unread messages in there as it was doing before, but at least I'm getting messages now.
