Tire size
Hello, a friend of mine has a pair of 235/35/19 winter tires, and hes selling them for cheap.. pretty cheap
will it fit on my audi a6 2012 Tdi...
which tire for rim size 19 should be 40/19 and not. 35/19...
What can cause if the tires are smaller than they supposed to be...
thanks for answer

35 Series are really low profile, which I think is not good if you get deep snow in your area. Here is some info from Tire Rack about selecting winter tire sizing.

When speedometer reads 60mph (96.6km/h) actual speed will be 56.5mph (91km/h): 5.8% slower.

I'm running a 255/35/20 on my audi and I don't have any problems with rubbing, that's the max size you can go without mods. People will tell you a 40 tire will have a little bit better traction in the snow but a 5 mm deference to be honest, wouldn't do anything vs snow!

The aspect ratio (sidewall) isn’t a fixed number. It is a ratio compared to the cross sectional area (width) of the tire. A 255/35 tire has a sidewall height of .35 x 255 mm = 89.25 mm. Regardless the OP’s question was whether or not the tires that are available for purchase are suitable. They’re not.
