Long time Audi owner. Does anyone have any information about plans from Audi about bringing an A6 level wagon to the US soon? I have a 1999 Avant that we still use and love but really looking to replace soon. Have seen the A6 Avant and pictures of the A6 All Road while in Europe and hoping that the powers that be decide to bring one of these into the US market soon. Would make a great competitor for the Mercedes and BMW wagons and add something between the A6 line and the Q5/Q7 line. Have tried to get information from Audi but business sense tells me that they are reluctant to announce new lines coming in so that those looking to buy, will buy what they have available her now and not decide to wait for what may be coming in the future.

Wont happen, combination of lack of demand from americans and the high certification costs that our Govt imposes on vehicles (even if its just a different variant of the same platform car). 2012 A4 avant was probably the last wagon we will see from Audi for a considerable time until their US growth allows the numbers to justify.

Mercedes and BMW sell far more cars in the US than Audi at this level (mid size executive) so if only 10% of the class is sold as wagons, MB or BMW can maintain a respectable level of avant/wagons - whereas Audi would be in 100-140 a month range.

I see a ton of E-Class wagons in my area. Next to no BMW or Audi. Everyone likes their SUVs.
