Default TPMS Not working and says currently not available

I'm hoping someone can help me as my Tire Pressure Monitoring system is no longer available and not working in my 2012 Audi A6. On the MMI screen the feature is now always grayed out (even while parked), and when I click on it, I see the following message, "The selected system is currently not available." It has been this way for months. Last night I hooked up my VAG cable and confirmed everything was activated correctly. So now I'm at a loss. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Reset the MMI ? Never seen or heard of that issue.

I recently had a greyed out MMI menu item like that on something that used to work fine. I pulled faults for the module using VAG-COM, plus the generic:

03157 - Functionality limited due to Communications Disruption

which turned out to mean that a wire had worn through, and the car computer had no link to the sensor.

So, I would first use VAG-COM to get all the faults, and then go looking for wires broken or harnesses that have come unplugged. Maybe the wheel speed sensor cables in your case?

Thanks for the tip. I'll run a diagnostic and see what faults I find this weekend.

I have it at the dealer now hoping Audi Pure Protection Extended warranty will cover it. The dealer even with the warranty is charging me $149 diagnostic fee, then they said IF they find something they call the warranty company to see if it is covered.

They called me around lunch and asked me when I got my APR tune because that might have caused the issue. I got the tune 2 years ago and the TPMS worked up until earlier this year.

Problem found was the coding in the tire pressure module was incorrect. Dealer updated and it now works. Not covered under warranty. Not sure how that even happened.

So if you don't mind sharing what did the dealer charge for this "repair"?

You have addressed this same issue in two different threads. One would have been sufficient.

$149 diagnostic fee. They had a saved encoding for my car and reloaded it.
