No RS6 sedan this time around, C6 RS6 didn't come either. There's an unsubstantiated rumor of a "limited run (500)" RS6 avant for the US - but I'm not giving it much thought. It appears Audi USA is going for the flavor of the week to attract new customers (not saying it's a bad idea for them) with the RS7 instead of appeasing some of their longer-term customers.

In CA you pay full sales tax every time you buy a car, you cant write off the one you just paid in the trade in. Another reason to hold a car for a longer period, around 9% including fees plus the depreciation makes you think twice to sell a car relatively soon, without counting the ridiculous money you get from the dealer.

I just traded my 2012 A6 Prestige this pass June and I only lost about $5000 from what I paid. I think the Audi dealer is trying to make a killing off you since you want a S6 which is in high demand.

I pulled no punches when driving it with my dealer rep. At one point on the freeway, I was coming out of M3 and a car pulled in front of me. I let off the throttle and tapped the brake and all was good. I was so close that I could see the model of the vehicle. It was a Yaris!!!. The dealer and I joked the whole way back about the Yaris. LMAO

Yes!!! A 20K delta from the original purchase price is a little crazy in my opinion. I can live with 10k but not 20k.

I've heard sales stories about people getting out of Audi leases early with no penalty - however would be interested in verified accounts.
