Afternoon All,

I've just taken delivery of a new Audi A6 Saloon 1.8 TFSI SE Executive S Tronic but there's no USB port, just the standard MMI connection and cigarette lighter shaped port.

Any idea why this is? The supplier stated that it should have a USB port, as does the Audi website?

You would need the Technology pack, which includes the MMI Navigation Plus system, to get discrete USB ports. The base level car comes with a universal Audi Music Interface port. There are a variety of cables that can be plugged into this port, including USB. You will need to order one, see here for the 10 types available:

As Glisse states the USB ports only cvome with the Tech Pack option, otherwise it is the AMI interface. As standard from the dealer when you collected the car you should have got two AMI cables. One for the device of your choice (Apple 30 pin, Apple Lightning, mini USB or Micro USB) and a USB female cable which allows you to connect either a USB cable or a USB memory stick to act as a hard drive. Unfortunately some sales guys in dealership continue to be clueless about what they are selling

Hi, sorry to re-raise this thread but just bought my first Audi. It's a 2.0 TDI ULTRA S-Line Avant S-Tronic but also doesn't have a USB port even though I was told it did. I can see the MMI connector in the middle armrest which I know I need a cable to connect to that can work with my iPhone but I need to know what MMI system I have to choose the correct cable. Can anyone tell me how I find this out so I can buy the correct cable? Many thanks!
