Default Upgrading mmi3g+ to mmi2 with 4g

Hi guys had a quick question to sort out some ideas I've been toying with.

I currently have a 2014 A6 c7 tdi with the mmi 3g+ and Bose sound system, as you know the instrument cluster on my car doesn't display nav in it and I also want to get off the 3g slow network and have LTE capablility. So the question I have is I know the components that need to be changed (cluster, mmi and screen units and control module around gear shifter which I've seen on eBay for around 1500 for the setup I need, the thing I see is that these are all for gas cars not diesel so would that be an issue with compatibility

My car also has no heads up display or night vision just in case that matters.

Thanks in advance for the help.

A new A6 will fix it for less money and headache.

Not really what I was looking for, I don't think spending more money on a new car for a factory option is really the answer, I'm sure it is difficult and tedious but not that expensive. Seeing as parts run in the neighborhood of 2k why would I want to go out and spend 15-30k just to have one additional feature. I'm looking for a technical answer on issues faced with the tdi conversion of this. Thanks anyway.

Anyone else have something more constructive?
