Thanks for the clear direction, having just gotten back into my 2011 A4, this script worked well and I now also am running a modified startup screen. Thanks to this thread for the information.

RS6 MMI Update
Never been on these forums but you look like someone who knows a fair but about Audi's
I've got a 2013 RS6 and wondered if i can update the MMI
I've read it added a few little gems but I'm unsure how to go about doing it
The current media version is
HN+R_EU_AU_P0770
and the Nav version is
BR006088B4BK ECE 6.17.3
I've only just discovered the SD card and jukebox function :-)
any help would be greatly appreciated
Pete

Lots of great work in the thread decoding the scripts, and so on.
The only concerning thing to me is that this suggests that an arbitrary ksh script can be executed off of an SD card if it's at least formatted properly and placed in the proper location on a SD card... Potentially with root privileges? (The MMI runs a version of the QNX Realtime operating system, I believe I've read in the past). Theoretically there could be a lot more in there that could be probed and modified (and potentially broken ) if a script was modified to gather a bit more information. It's only mildly concerning given that it requires physical access to your vehicle, but still potentially 'bad' (or good, depending on your point of view) depending on the level of privilege afforded to the script on the SD card, and what kind of things that script could get to. I might have to play around and see what exactly can be done...
