Viper Smart Start - Anyone have it?
 

I've been eyeing this for a few months. I've seen some youtube videos of people who have it installed on the new A6. Its gonna be ~700 for parts and install. I live in Vegas and it would be great to cool down my car 10 minutes before I go outside. So, anyone have experience with it? Thanks in advance!

Had it on the Q5 and it worked well. I just used the fob, not the app.

It is not good for your engine to allow a cold start/idle.

For that reason alone I would never put this in my car.

I have the Viper Smart Start on my wife's Infinity G37 convertible and it works great. I could start her car on my iPhone from the other side of the world - or even see exactly where she is - or where she's parked. I'd love it on my A7, but the dealership said because of the electronics in the Audi, it would be close to $2,000.00. No thanks.

I had it in my C5. I loved it. I would put it in this one, but I am afraid of the cost and messing up certain features. I forget now, but it did change the characteristics of a couple features in my car. Nothing that bothered me that much as I worked around them, but not sure I want to risk it on this car.
