Well - that didn't take long. Looks like 3.0 TDIs are also affected by Dieselgate!

Interesting there is no mention of diesel in this round, just 2016 A6/A7 "3.0" engines for Audi. The word "Diesel" appears only once in reference to the original discoveries in Sept.

Could be an oversight by Consumerist as Touaregs do not come with a 3.0L supercharged Engine.

Jalopnik indicates it's specifically diesels:

Volkswagen Had Diesel Cheat Systems On V6 Engines Too, Audi And Porsche Included: EPA

ALTHOUGH - if you read the article, it would indicate that out of the A6's, only 2016 models are affected... But I would not hold my breath...

Default Here's the letter from the EPA. Yes, the 3.0 diesel is the subject.

I really wonder if it is possible that only 2016 A6's are affected...? I would think not since the Engines are all identical however, it is a facelifted model so perhaps different programming could be a possibility...

I'm with you McFuzz. Can't see why only 2016s and not earlier versions.

It might just be that there are the defeat devices and don't really affect anything. The case in the top link talks about more emissions, but I don't know if we can assume that's for every one

The EPA violation notice specifically states that they are continuing to test and that the list of models in the table is not final.

VW seems to have a lot of internal management problems.

I'm amazed that VW wasn't the one making the press release about the problems on these models. One would have thought they would have scrubbed all of their diesel models by now to come up with a comprehensive list rather than waiting for the EPA to out them.

Can't wait to see what else VW has lied about in a week or two!

Little did you know that you aren't actually driving a VW but... A YUGO!

The most reliable part of a yugo is the rear window defroster. It helps to keep your hands warm with all of the pushing you are going to do. And if VW doesn't come up with a fix, pushing we will!

And now we have to deal on this forum with all of the A6 3.0/S6 people gloating and the unrefined diesel people (see what I did there?) having to legitimately take it... The struggle is real!

Seriously though, this diesel scandal stuff is getting too much for even me. I think with the 2016 3.0L A6's getting impacted, its just a matter of time before all of them are impacted.

Quick Reply: Well - that didn't take long. Looks like 3.0 TDIs are also affected by Dieselgate!
