What’s the difference between these usb ports?
Hello, I saw cars with the similar module but without the phone icon. My car has 2 usb ports too, but under one of them there’s a phone icon. I thought it’s a carplay, but doesn’t work. What does it mean? My car is a 2016 A6 3.0 btdi Competition Package.
Thank you!
Thank you!

I've been looking for a good explanation of that as well. BTW, where did you get that rubber tray that fits so nicely in there?

I imagine that it's telling you that that port has a data connection that supports some sort of MTP sync or iPod/iPhone iTunes connection. Basically a way to access media/contacts/etc. on the phone before Carplay/AA was a thing. The other port is just for power. I'm sure it's in the manual.

Console USB Connector is for IPod.
I have the same A-6 2016 3.0 TDI.
The marked USB connector is connected to my old IPod Classic player.
Works well through the Media button on the MMI for music playback as an alternative to the SSD cards.
