I believe if you try to start the car without a detectable key fob the dashboard screen tells you where to place the fob RFID. Although I've only had the car a few weeks I've had this pop up after grabbing the wrong set of keys. Not sure how I mistook the normal sizes Honda key fob for that brick that Audi considers a key fob. So looks like you can skip steps 1 and 2.

Ah but then you'd have to RTFS (Read The Fine Screen) and reading or at least appreciating what one reads appears to be an issue for the OP as it appears to make him/her grumpy.

Apparently, after referring to me and others as "jokers" (using the elitist French form "farceurs" no less) the OP may have departed the thread (perhaps to read his manual?). I guess the data point here is to maintain a sense of humor, not take things too seriously and make sure you wear a slightly thicker skin when participating in a public forum.
