I have a 2012 A6 and find that the wind noise on the driver's side is noticeably more pronounced than it was on my previous 2008 and 2005 A-6s. The A6's that I have owned previously were dead quiet in the inside. This one has a lot of noise, either from the wind or the road. Hard to tell which.

The dealer tried a bunch of things to no avail and I have a client who is a big time auto body shop and he said that he saw no obvious reason for the noise. Seals were tight, door latch was tight, etc. I do notice that the shape of the side mirrors in 2012 are different than in the earlier models I owned.

Anyone else noticing a noise problem in their 2012 A6? I might be just too demanding, but this car is definitely not as peaceful as earlier models.

My A6 is as quiet as my 2008 A6. One owner here found a missing seal in the driver side mirror which cause the wind noise. Have you dealer check for that and see if thats the problem.

Ah - I will certainly ask the dealer to check that out. I did a search in the forum before I posted and did not notice anything about that seal. Do you happen to recall when it ran; I'd love to read it and contact the fellow.

GMan - thanks for that link. I printed it out and will give it to my dealer. The guy's post on 11-22 is EXACTLY what I have. My car is even the same color!
