Winter wheels for Audi A6 2.0 TDI Quattro facelift
Hello,
I have a set of tires from my old Audi car that i want to use for winter time on my Audi A6 2.0 TDI quattro (2016 production year) which dimmensions are 235/45/R17 (rims OZ Energy 8Jx17-
Energy - OZ Racing ). The 17" wheels accepted for this car are 225x55xR17 97Y, according to the car's documents.
My question is: are the rims suited for this car? Because if they are i should only buy new 225x55xR17 tires. If they are not i should buy a new set of wheels (tires and rims). How can i know for sure?
One other question i have is about the offset. What should the offset be?
Thank you very much for your answers!

I'm running 17" snow tires & wheels from TireRack on my 2012 A7.
The wheels are 17 X 7.5 ET 28
Snow tires are 235/55-R17
Go to TireRack, put a set together for your TDI A6 and write done the numbers. If you use the 235/45/R17 tires, it will effect your speedometer and odometer. When speedometer reads 60mph (96.6km/h) actual speed will be 56.8mph (91.4km/h): 5.3% slower.
