Default 2018 S6 or 2019 A6?

For the same price (lease payment) which would you rather drive for the next 3 years and why?

Depends what your into. Emphasis on tech or performance. The C7/7.5 is getting quite long in the tooth so there is that. C8 has all the latest Audi tech. I’m not too particularly thrilled by all the touchscreens but this is what happens when people complain that they have touchscreens in their Toyota but not their Audi. Oh well. I still prefer the old controls. I’m most interested to see the 3.0T plus s-tronic...I mean they don’t offer that combo even in the S4 or SQ5.
Also 2018 S6 might be one of the last V8’s if that is of any interest to you. There’s also first year teething issues on new models to consider. Some of these thing don’t apply if your leasing but I mention them anyway.
So overall I’d probably go for the 3 year S6 lease, let them work out any issues on the new platform and see what the new S6 will be like and put that on the possible list for the next lease.

If you can actually get an S6 delivered. Unless it has the comfort/vented front seats there is a stop sell on them until the front passenger seat PODS recall is completed. As of now there are no parts or even a date that they will be available.

I would ride in the S6 for the same lease payment.
However, depend on the options you pick and whats the lease payment on both cars.
S6 is a 450 hp with 440 lb ft of torque adding options to it may not be the same lease payments.
As opposed to the A6 335 hp with 369 lb ft of troque.
Its the option where may make that difference on lease payments.

Touchscreens are the way to go. Do you complain about touchscreen on your smart phone?

nothing is ever "the way to go" universally for everyone

a phone isn't a car interface.

People who think they will love it won't. People who think they hate it will grow to love it. Such is life

To the OP, the point is largely moot as well, because they won't be the same lease payment unless you structure the transactions dramatically differently to one another.

More people wanted Touchscreen than those who did not and Audi eventually listened to the masses.

That’s pretty much what I’m saying. Doesn’t mean I have to like it. I’m sure eventually I will have to deal with it.
Thanks SCar.
For the OP if a touchscreen interface is a must have for you then obviously 2019 A6 is the way to go. Although I’d probably still get the S6 even if it had crank windows. Lol
