Just heard the same from my local dealer, expecting deliveries week of the 12th. Stopped by over the weekend; sales of Q8s and A8s are brisk. Saw the Sarder Brown interior in a Moonlight Blue A8; very nice. Too bad Moonlight is not available on the A6.

According to Edmunds, a northern NJ dealer (Meadowlands) is showing 10 in inventory. I’m not sure how accurate this is as none of the other dealers in the area have anything.

I just tried the touch screen system in the Q8, absolutely a fingerprint magnet. Yes the lower screen can be operated with your wrist resting on the shift **** but the top screen is unusable on most US roads: try holding your iPad at arms length while driving. I set the seat position and steering wheel position and I could not reach the top screen without leaning forward over an inch with my arm outstretched. The Q7 could be the last of the real interfaces or move to BMW where they haven’t cheapened up by using the touchscreen.

I couldn't disagree more. I prefer controllers and/or buttons/keys in cars. Even with my tablet, I have "accidentally" erased many important emails trying to get arthritic fingers to neatly swipe and pinch. Driving while dealing with a touch screen is almost as bad as trying to keep one clean and fingerprint-free.

A vast majority of auto functions are voice activated... no touch screen required...

And then when I get frustrated and yell "F U" it really gets downright nasty
Maybe the voice in the 2019 will be better than the 2014
