I was at a dealer the other day and the salesman stated that the Audi rep just told him that the A6 Avant WILL be coming to the US next year. The Official announcement is coming. He assumed this would extend to the S6, but nothing was specifically said about it.

I'd love an RS6 or even S6, but truth is, a loaded Prestige A6 Sedan can now be spec-ed to over $80k.

I hope and presume we're speaking of a true Avant, not an allroad.

Give me a Prestige Avant with 3.0T and loaded, and I'll be good.

I’m kind of in the same boat. RS6 Avant would be great, but it would be over $100k and probably be too much car. Maybe ok for a collector car. An S would be nice too- maybe. A6 prestige might be the best choice with the 3.0.

Just spent a month in Europe and Avants were everywhere. I think they were more of them by 10 to 1 over A6's...

BTW, driving the autobahn in my crappy KIA rental (I specifically asked for an A4 or A6), Audi owns the road. Got passed by them so fast you could only ID them by the logo and if you knew the tail lights. No way in hell you could read the trunk label (A6, A7, A8, etc.). In fact about half of the Audi's had no badging as to A4-A8 what so ever???

I did purchase a Euro license plate to match the US back plate on my A6. It should be here Monday... Not sure I want anything on front... I do have a letter from the dealer explaining Audi did not make a state side front mounting plate if I am ever stopped... (Our state requires front and back plates)...
