02 a6 2.7t quatro p0741 and p0300
ok so my audi a6 started miss fireing and shaking at at idle and as i decelerated, i checked the engine light code and it miss fired in cyl 4 so i swapped my icm's and the miss fire jumped to cyl 1 so i replaced one of the icm's ,there was an after market one on already and the original one as well both were beru zm 063
i changed the original one thinking it would be older and thus the broken one. The miss fireing went away and it is driving fine, better then before no more shaking ect.....but the CEL is on and reading p0741 and p0300 so... is my torque converter out? any info would help a lot, thank

Yup...most likely you have the same problem I had...torque converter seals are shot, preventing lockup. You can either drive it that way with lousy gas mileage, or spend a few grand to have it replaced. Neither is a good choice, but if the rest of the car is good, a few grand for a rebuild is cheaper than a new car. Mine has been fine for 50K miles.

ok so you drove 50k before or after replacing it im worried of my tranny blowing because of this. I'm not driving the car above 40mph to be safe, would changing out the tranny fluid help i read it could be a possible cause of the light code is bad or low fluid

Are you leaking transmission oil? A good symptom of oil level too low is rough shifting. Brace yourself for a TC job, though. Get a good one from 517 Transmission for $700 or so, but it's the labour that will get you.

AS FAR AS i SEEN WE ARE NOT LEAKING AT ALL. caps. my tranny mechanic whis not an Audi expert drove it on the high way and said its not locking up, so idk but the check engine light hasn't come back on yet after he reset it with his expensive diag tool

If the torque converter clutch is not locking up the code will return.
You can check your fluid level but if you didn't do anything to the fluid recently and there are no leaks, then the level is not the problem.
It's a very well know issue with the zf 5hp19 torque cnverters.
If you drive it like that with the clutch slipping, it could be fine but with worse gas mileage or it could cause problems if the leak is minor and the clutch is partially engaged. That's when debris from the clutch gets in the oil and causes more issues.
When the code comes on, the trans does not engage the torque converter clutch anymore to prevent further damage, so if it comes back, don't reset it until you actually fix it.
