02 S6 oil change question
Hi everyone, just picked up a 02 S6 with 166,xxx mls on the dash. It sounds pretty weird but I really wonder where is the oil filter and drain plug located. Thought it was the same with c5 a6 and bought the 32mm and 19mm socket but couldn’t find them at all lol. Pictures would be appreciated. Thanks if anyone can help!

Congratulations on your new S66
Once you're under the car, the first step is to remove the lower engine splash shield. Now you should be able to see everything.
Draining the oil should go easily, just make sure you've identified the engine oil crankcase.
The oil filter is horizontally mounted on the passenger side of the engine. It's a little tricky to get to, and it drains awkwardly. It will surprise you when it drains in stages as you remove it.
I'd suggest getting a torque wrench, and get used to using it on the drain plug with a new gasket, 22 ft/lbs.
Absolutely the best money you can spend now is to buy the Bentley Publishers Audi A6 Service Manual.
Congratulations on your new S6.
