Sorry guys but I also gave a similar problem, on cold start it don't start, I replace fuel pump and filter a month ago and everything was fine until yesterday morning when I tried to start it and it's sound like it's not getting any fuel. I tried a few times and it finially started with my foot on the gas. Any ideas?

Drop the back seats and listen for the fuel pump when you turn the key to ACC (don't kick the starter yet). No pump sound = dead pump.

No start when cold...could be many things.

No hot restart could be CTS, CPS.

No VAGCOM means you will be throwing parts at it until you have the codes pulled. Each one of those sensors will post an error code when it begins to fail, but will not necessarily light the CEL.

When I put the car to ACC no sound and I check for power and got nothing. Might be the relay or it needs ignition for power?

I have an A4/B6 2.4 litre V6 Limousine Model front wheel drive with multitronic box .

Can someone tell me where the "Coolant Temperature Sensor " is located on the engine or on radiator?

Mine also has the no starting when hot bit with a strong petrol smell too so I am sure its the sensor . Vag comm tells me the sensor is faulty too. Just need to find it?Anyone got a diagram or a link to one?

I assume you mean 2.7...? CTS is on the coolant pipe behind the block on the passenger side, just beneath the corrugated intake tube. STFA, there's a good writeup in the tech section, with photos...used it when I did mine the first time.

Save yourself some downtime by buying two sensors instead of one...they're cheap, and they're quite possibly the most common sensor failure on the car.

I'm in Australia and its 2.4L actually and I thik the sensor will be on the drivers side now if it is below the air intake tube.Us being upside down to you.

Thank you everyone for helping me, my car problem was the coolant temp sensor. It was reading 105c at cold and sit for 2 days so I know it's not correct. Change it and it's all good now. Thanks guys
