2.7T engine oil: 7 qts. out ?

2.7T engine oil: 7 qts. out ?
Did my first DIY oil change. I've heard many times that audi engines burn oil like crazy, so to measure I put the old oil back in 1 qt cans. Surprisingly, all 7 almost filled up. Not sure how much was put in during the previous change 5k miles ago, but based on 2.7T capacity, it couldn't be more than 7.5 qts, right?

6 qts for me and the cars doesn't lose much oil (mobil 1 syn) anything above 6 qts makes my dipstick
reading higher then needed and the car idles more smoothly when the oil is just below the highest mark. The previous oil change I had the oil was way above the high and the car idled with a little rough....anyways that's my experiences.

I've had two Audis, and neither have used ANY oil between changes.
Oil changes use between 6 and 7 quarts. Not more than 7. I just did mine yesterday.
Audi engines tend to leak oil, but not burn it. Leaks are more of a nuisance and mess than a problem.
