Twelve year "limited" warranty against corrosion perforation
My 2004 A6 2.7tt S-Line had some rust show up last November as some small spots on the doors and fenders a year ago.
The repair on the car is finally finished. Yup, that is correct, between Audi USA and Audi Canada, it took almost a year for them to decide that they would cover "a portion" of the repair.
BTW, Audi USA wouldn't even cover it the warranty work and were extremely happy when they found out that it was a Canadian car. At that point they quickly washed their hands of the issue. The dealer in Honolulu (where I was a year ago), was stupid enough to say that I had parked the car in the ocean and that was why they wouldn't cover it. Wow...just wow. If you are in Honolulu, I feel your pain. The service shop at the Audi dealer is run by a bunch of absolute idiots.
And so, this is just a heads up to all of you C5 owners out there. That if you have the slightest bit of rust showing up on your car:
a) get going on the warranty case / process now, and
b) it WILL cost you money to have it repaired. That is IF Audi will repair it, and that is a big IF.
Audi Canada really struggled to not cover the repair but finally said that they would cover a portion of the repair. The amount that I pay is $1502 to replace one front fender and two doors. I have no idea of what the total cost was to do the repair, but the car looks so much better.

I had my 2000 covered a few years ago , they replaced the drivers door skin and all door blades , replaced left front fender , and resprayed entire lower half of car for delaminated paint.
cost to me ? 0$
the funny part . they had it done at the same body shop as Mercedes and the bill was 3500 dollars.
I only paid 1 G for the car from my neighbor.
Still looks great about 3 years later .

I damaged a door skin on my 2001 A6... I purchased a door skin from Shokan in my original color, swapped the window frame, door latch and door lock actuator to the new skin, fixed in one hour. Total cost, $200.
