I have a 2002 audi a6 that wont crank. The accessory lights come on and everything. We replaced the ignition switch but still nothing. Its very loose as if the key isnt catching on anything to start it. Any ideas?

Take a look at the pdf, it might be possible that something was not done correctly.

What exactly did you replace? If you truly replaced just the ignition switch it probably didn't hook up mechanically with the lock cylinder.

Thank you! this was a big help. Unfortunatly the pin inside where you put the key in broke off so we have to get a flat key {dealer key} and do exactly what the pdf says. It starts now but only with a screwdriver lol
