2001 Audi A6 Quattro 2.8 No crank/start
My car was running fine other than a slight oil leak and needing the transfer case repaired. Yesterday morning I went to start it and was knocking and shaking like crazy so I shut it off. I thought maybe the breather hose was blocked up, no surprise it was. So I removed both valve covers and the breather hose and gave them a good brake cleaning. Put everything back together and started it... Still running like complete garbage. My buddy told me to clean the oil pick up screen and it should help so I did that. Filled it up with oil, started it, it ran terrible like before fore about 5 seconds then it died. Been no crank no start ever since. I really need some help with this.. Anything is appreciated.

I'm scanning my codes and it's got 8. Secondary Air Injection system insufficient flow bank 1 and 2. Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance bank 1. Multiple cylinder misfire. Cylinder 1 Misfire. Cylinder 3 misfire. Cylinder 2 misfire. Cylinder 6 misfire. Those are all the codes

Among other possibilities, sounds like a probable vacuum leak and faulty secondary air pump. Also a probable cam position sensor is faulty UNLESS maybe the timing belt has slipped? When was the belt last serviced?

Bad sign. No more cranking until you determine timing is correct. You may have already bent valves. Much has been written here over the years about timing errors or it having slipped. Search the forum archives.
How long or or how many miles since the timing belt was changed?

It won't crank over at all now anyways. But I'm not sure about last replacement. The car has 216xxx miles. It was running perfectly fine literally one day before. I let it sit for a full day and night becuase I was going to remove driveline the next day. Went to start it and it sounded horrible. As stated above. I'm completely at a loss.

This won't be much help at this point. These are "interference" motors. If they are out of time the pistons won't clear the valves. Hence the current lock up. Common occurrence. If you have some luck, you may be able to have the heads rebuilt and get it running again. Hopefully no piston damage. Based on your statement about the spark plugs, it sounds major.
